FEU–EAC Participates in the 23rd International Coastal Clean-Up
FEU – East Asia College participated in the 23rd International Coastal Clean-Up on September 20, 2008 along the coastline of Manila Bay - Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City. The Student Affairs and Community Services Office (SACSO) - Community Extension Service Unit (CESU) spearheaded the activity in collaboration with the Special Concerns Office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). FEU – EAC Associates from various academic departments and student leaders from the Social Action Volunteer Corps and Youth for Christ actively participated in the said activity.
Developmental Training Program, A Success!
No storm can stop FEU – East Asia College’s Student leaders, Campus journalists and Organization advisers from enriching their skills in the “Developmental Training for Organization Advisers, Student Coordinating Council and Student Publication” held at Hotel Dominique, Tagaytay City on September 11 – 12, 2008. The event was organized by Student Activities and Development Unit under the leadership of SACSO Director, Mr. Henry G. Magat, assisted by Student Activities and Development Coordinator, Mr. Christian Timothy M. Sia, and Student Activities Assistant, Ms. Michelle A. Role.
FEU-EAC Integrates SAP in Its Curricula
FEU – EAC signed up as one of the first five members of the SAP ERP University Alliance Program in the Philippines. Ms. Edna Anicete, Ms. Rossana Adao, Dr. Zeny Lontoc, all Directors of FEU – EAC, joined an exclusive SAP training held last Aug 4-8, 2008 for member schools of the said alliance program. The training was a comprehensive e-business program that discussed at length the application of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system in various areas of leading organizations.
FEU – EAC Integrates Cisco in Its Curricula
FEU – East Asia College has recently joined the Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP), a comprehensive e-learning program that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy.
Thanksgiving Party for the New Electronics Engineers
The new Electronics Engineers of FEU – EAC who passed the recent Licensure Examinations given on March 26 and 27, 2008 were delighted with a Thanksgiving Lunch by the ECE Department last May 10, 2008.
Programming Instructors Undergo VB.Net Training
The ITE Dept fully adheres to the commitment of the College in continually providing opportunities for its faculty as part of the faculty development program. One such opportunity for professional growth is the comprehensive lecture series done during the summer period.
The ITE Department held the VB.Net training on May 5-7, 12-15, and 19-21, 2008. The extensive 30-hour training covered topics on GUI Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Multithreading, Graphics and Multimedia, Database, SQL, ADO.Net, and Mobile programming.
Student Leadership Seminar, Training, Planning, and Team Building Workshop
The Student Leaders of FEU – East Asia College were once again given the opportunity to enrich their leadership skills and virtues in the Leadership Seminar, Training, Planning and Team building Workshop held on May 23 to 25, 2008 at the Caliraya Recreation Center in Lumban, Laguna. The activity having the theme “Enhancing 3C`s: Campus Leadership, Conflict Management and Community Involvement” was conducted by the Student Affairs Office.
FEU-EAC Associates Visit Industry Partners
Over 20 FEU-EAC Associates tripped to TV Giant ABS-CBN Channel 2 and No. 1 BPO Sykes, Asia on May 23, 2008. The guided tour took faculty and administrators through various facilities related to Electronics and Communications Engineering in ABS-CBN and Information Technology in Sykes. Besides fun, the primary aim of the visit is for faculty members to explore opportunities for the Faculty Immersion Program.
Civil Engineering Licensure Board Examination Results
After the exemplifying performance of Engr. Noel Andy B. Saturno, who emerged as the topnotcher of the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination with a score of 96.85 percent on May 12, 2007 where FEU-East Asia College attained a 91 passing percentage, the College produced yet another Civil Engineering Board Placer.
Engr. Daniel B. Bangit, who graduated as Magna Cum Laude on September 2007, emerged as the 8th Placer in the Civil Engineering Licensure Board Examination held on May 8 and 9, 2008.
